Bags and Shoes Made from Pineapple Leaves

There are some pretty amazing innovations in cruelty-free and eco-friendly textiles at the moment. One of these is Piñatex, which is a natural and sustainable alternative to leather. Its fibres are made from pineapple leaves, which are a by-product of the pineapple fruit harvest. This means that no extra land, water, fertilisers or pesticides are required to produce them!

This new material also provides extra funding to the local Philippine farmers, who harvest the fibres which are then transformed into Piñatex. The end product is a material that is waterproof, breathable and anti-allergic.

You can check out our range of vegan Piñatex shoes and bags here. (Stay tuned for more eco-friendly product styles coming soon too)!

For lovers of innovative new materials, we also have shoes and bags made from recycled plastic bottles, recycled car tyres and cork.
