What Do Back Order, Drop Shipping & In-Stock Mean?

Not sure what these terms mean? Here’s a quick guide to help you shop smarter!

Back Order – Love a style but don’t see your size?
Good news—we’re now offering back orders on select products! This means that when you see the backorder button you can pre-order your favourite shoes in sizes and styles that are currently out of stock.
  • Made just for you – Your shoes will be crafted on demand, reducing waste and supporting sustainable production.
  • A better way to shop – We only make what’s needed, minimising overproduction and keeping our process ethical.
  • Lock in the sale price – Back orders placed during a sale will still get the discount!
  • Shipped from Brazil – Since your shoes are made to order, they’ll take a little longer to arrive than our in-stock items, but they’ll be worth the wait!

Please note: Made-on-demand/Back order shoes are not available at our warehouse. They are shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Drop Shipping – Some of our shoes are shipped directly from our suppliers instead of our warehouse. This means your order might arrive in separate parcels if you’ve purchased multiple items.

In-Stock – Items marked as in-stock are available in our warehouse and ready to ship! These will arrive faster than back-ordered or drop-shipped items.

Whichever way you shop, you’re choosing ethical, sustainable, and cruelty-free fashion. Thank you for supporting kind, conscious style!

Why We Cannot Cancel On-Demand or Back-Orders

We know that sometimes plans change. However, once an on-demand or back-order item is placed, our system immediately commits to its production to ensure prompt delivery and eliminate waste.
Cancelling an order after it has been placed carries significant, non-recoverable costs for us as a small business:
Merchant Fees: Payment gateways (like Afterpay, PayPal, and credit card processors) immediately charge us transaction fees (typically 3-6% of your total order value). These companies keep those fees even if we issue you a full refund.
  • Production Costs: Your order triggers the start of a custom manufacturing process, allocating specific materials and labour that cannot be easily stopped or repurposed.
  • Our Sustainability Mission: Creating an item and then cancelling it creates "dead stock" and unnecessary shipping emissions, which goes against our core mission of only producing what is needed.
  • We simply absorb a financial loss on every single cancelled order. This is why we have a strict no-cancellation policy for items marked as "on-demand" or "back-order". We appreciate your understanding in helping us stay sustainable and viable.
